Great way to jumpstart your engine building. Can’t imagine playing without it!
The Prelude cards (choose 2 of 4) are a nice addition to the game that is not complicated. While all the cards are not equally useful, in most games it has not been hard to find two that are friendly by your corporation. The five corporations are mostly about generating or saving credits. They do not have special abilities as do the original 12 corporations or the the 5 in Venus Next. The primary advantages to using Prelude are a faster start and not having new rules to master.
This really kick starts a player”s economy. Combined with the Venus expansion mechanics, it really speeds the game up, especially for kids who have a shorter attention span.
His expansion is great, the prelude cards get things started a lot faster, and the new corporations and project cards are fun to try out.
