• Magach 1, 2, 3, and 5 are based on M48 series of tanks, and Magach 6 and 7 are based on M60 series tanks
• By the 1980s most of the M48 Magachs have been retired from frontline service, leaving the M60 Magach 6 as the primary American tank still in service with the IDF
