Nerdz Day, the biggest one-day sale in tabletop gaming, is almost here! In this blog, we're going to give you some useful tips to help you have the most successful Nerdz Day possible.

1. Understand the Nerdz Day Schedule

Nerdz Day 2023 begins at 12 PM CDT on August 11th. We’ll reveal 10 deals every hour for 10 hours. That equals 100 amazing deals spread out over the course of the day! 

New items will be revealed every two minutes on the Nerdz Day webpage. Five items will be board games, and five items will be from other categories like card games and RPGs.

All 10 deals for each hour should be revealed by the 20-minute mark, leaving you at least 40 minutes to rest up for the next hour (or get some work done at your job!) The sale ends at 11:59 AM CDT on August 12th, 2023, or while supplies last.

2. Save Your Payment Method Info

Each Nerdz Day item has a limited stock. There are no reserves on items in carts, so you'll need to check out as soon as possible.

The next tip is something you can do right now and will make the purchasing process easier and faster.

Create a Game Nerdz account if you haven’t already, and save your payment info. To do this, just head to your account page, click the Payment Methods tab, and click “add new payment method.”

When it’s time to check out, click your saved method, and you’re good to go!

3. Use Customer Holds

Many of you will be making multiple purchases throughout the day. To avoid several individual shipments, or having to pay separate shipping fees, you should use our Customer Holds feature. 

Once set up, you can choose Customer Hold at checkout instead of a shipping address, and then release all of your purchases at your convenience as a single shipment. To learn how to set up customer holds, check out our tutorial. 

4. Set Restock Notifications 

Another useful website feature for Nerdz Day is our Restock Notifications. There may be instances where an item sells out before you’re able to complete a purchase. 

That doesn’t mean you’re out of luck! Orders may be canceled and the corresponding stock will be replenished on the website. If you’ve set restock notifications for those items, you’ll be notified via email that new stock is available to purchase again. 5. Read the FAQ
