As abominations rise from the shadows, it takes an officer with a resolve of iron to oppose them. Marius is such a centurion, a veteran who has slain many unsavory beasts prowling the wilds. The Roman legionnaires and auxiliary archers at his side have witnessed horrors before, but their mettle will be tested in the battles to come.

Mormo, the Dark Mother with a Thousand Young, has unleashed her spawn to prey upon Rome and Germania. Any who fall in battle may rise again as shambling Servitors, their bodies still wearing the armor of former comrades-in-arms, but with barbed tentacles emerging from where heads should be. Undying ghouls stalk these battlefields, seeking flesh upon which to feast. Even more horrific is the Chosen of Mormo, bearing masses of writhing tentacles, and a gaping maw of teeth. Cultists who know the rites also summon Teufelshundes, dog-like beasts who can walk between worlds to stalk their prey.
